The End and the Beginning

April 13th

After much anticipation, Brian’s last day at work came.  We celebrated by taking the family out to dinner.  Odd right. We’ve lost our income…..and we go to dinner to celebrate!  There were so many emotions involved that day.  So much freedom, but more like the kind of freedom you feel right when you step off a cliff.  Will it be a fun free fall? Or will this end in our demise.  Only time will tell!

The kids were not yet quite sure what to expect of our full time adventure. They were, very excited to be done with daycare. They were excited to spend 24 hours with mom and dad.

I love that it seems like that is all kids want. More time with their family.  Seems like we lose that the older we get.  Why is that?  Why do we get so distracted by things and odd hobbies, that we forget that the most important thing might just be to sit on a log and stare at the sky with your kiddo.  Things to remember….

We spent the whole week doing one last THOROUGH clean out of our house.  Inside kitchen cabinets, corners of closets, under beds.  Anything that might have dirt was quickly wiped, sanitized and eliminated.

The very last box of personal items was squished into our 2 car garage…..along with our 2 cars.  The doors locked for the duration of the next few month.

Farewell home.  I hope our visitors love you as much as we do!  Time to head out on our house on wheels.
